Guram Melikidze

AI & Systems Engineer

Bank of Georgia Scholar

Started early in physics, math, electronics, and embedded systems - never looked back. Self-taught by breaking things, chasing sparks, and hyperfocusing at 3am on problems nobody asked me to solve. I build for ground-level friction: real problems, actual fixes. ADHD means fully in or not at all - and engineering rewards it.

Most of what I know, I know because it refused to let me sleep until I understood it. That hasn't changed - same current, different circuit. Find where something stops making sense, follow it past the point everyone else stops, fix it there instead of pretending it's fine three layers up.

I work well alone and better with the right people. Away from the keyboard: gym, bike, kitchen, court, or a road I didn't plan - mostly things where thinking too hard gets punished immediately.

Learn it, break it, leverage it, repeat.

This portfolio isn't a resume; it's just me, rendered in HTML.

Identity verification is becoming a commodity

The harder problem is making a validated result useful across independent systems without exposing the persona itself

At @DocinVault, we already automate the regulated procedure around validation. I'm extending that architecture onto Solana: portable assertions, verifiable agent actions, and independently checkable evidence - while sensitive identity content stays off-chain 🤟🚀

Doing the Solana School Fall cycle.

Mostly interested in the engineering side of it.

Good environment to pressure-test the on-chain parts of the trust systems I'm building.

The bottleneck in voice AI is not the model. It is barge-in, jitter, cancellation, and who owns the turn.

At Perk, we run Georgian-language calls with sub-500ms turn latency by treating the session as a deterministic state machine, not a chat loop.

Product Software Engineer

DocinVault

DocinVault automates guest data collection, risk screening, and identity compliance for global hospitality operators. The core engineering challenge was building an architecture that enforces strict GDPR and KVKK compliance across multi-system property management networks without adding latency to the front-desk check-in process.

I built the core risk-screening service with TypeScript and FastAPI, using asynchronous processing for 500+ daily check-ins. The pipeline reduced manual review latency by 65% with 99% compliance accuracy. I enforced privacy in software logic so raw passport data remains unavailable to operators by default, translated GDPR, KVKK, and cross-border reporting requirements into deterministic workflow states and evidence handling, and orchestrated PMS integration contracts that reduced onboarding time for new properties by 40%.

Perk

Perk operates an automated voice AI platform that conducts phone calls in Georgian to handle customer bookings, inquiries, and support workflows. Operating in live telephony requires managing continuous speech streaming, unpredictable interruptions, and strict latency budgets.

I architected the multi-tenant agent orchestration layer with LangChain and FastAPI, cutting configuration latency by 40% and enabling three-times-faster deployment of custom business personas. I engineered WebRTC and SIP audio pipelines that reduced end-to-end voice latency by 120ms, with deterministic barge-in, buffering, cancellation, and turn-state behavior. I also validated fine-tuned LLM performance and agent reasoning with RAGAS and DeepEval, reducing hallucination rates by 25% across business-specific workflows.

I worked with Guram on a client AI deployment, and he's exactly who you want when moving from prototype to production. We tackled some tough engineering constraints together, which actually inspired his research on full-duplex systems. He looks beyond the model to focus on real-world system behavior, integrations, and error modes. I'd partner with him again in a heartbeat.
